Dedicated to the memory of John Pettigrew, 1945-2010
TeamJP3 is named in memory of John Pettigrew, who was known as JP3. The team began with his son and daughter, Joe & Lisa, and soon spread to other family and friends.
Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer on the 30th of September 2009 and passed away on the 11th of January 2010, just 20 days short of his 65th birthday. Over the course of his battle we were introduced to Macmillan Cancer Support who campaign tirelessly as well as provide intimate support, Beatson Cancer Charity who ensure a high standard of care in the west of Scotland, and Accord Hospice in our local area who provide a warm welcoming environment for patients and family alike.
Cancer is one of the worst experiences imaginable, and it is frightening that 1 in 3 of us will be affected. Charities like Macmillan, Beatson and Accord do their best to ensure that those hit hardest don't feel alone. Their support is invaluable at the toughest of times. TeamJP3's goal is to try to repay these charities in whatever small way we can and to help them continue to provide their amazing support to others. To do that we need your help. Please donate whenever you are able - anything you give will help an individual and a family fighting their toughest battle.
